GROWING INDOORS
Monstera Standleyana Variegata is a stunning plant from Costa Rica that enjoys climbing a support or sprawling out of a basket. We have found that no two leaves will grow to show the same amount of variegation. You can expect these waxy oval shaped leaves to grow to a modest 6"-8". M. Standleyana will tolerate standard household humidity but it will grow slowly and produce small leaves. We recommend increasing the ambient humidity for this plant to encourage quick & easy growth. Your Standleyana is potted in a fast draining aroid mix so be sure to water as soon as the soil is dry. Providing higher levels of humidity will quickly encourage the plant to climb & push out large beautiful leaves.
GROWING OUTDOORS
Philodendron grow very well outdoors, but they are not winter hardy and should be brought inside once temperatures dip below 55 degrees. Spring through Fall, keep your Philodendron in Full to Partial Shade and make sure it is not receiving any hot, direct sun. Water once your plant has had a chance to dry out, usually about every 4-5 days outdoors with moderate temperatures. During periods of extreme heat, you may need to water your Philodendron every 2-3 days.
